The Vardaris International Chess Tournament will be hosted at the Holiday Inn Thessaloniki. Participants may stay at the official tournament hotel and benefit from special room rates arranged exclusively for players and accompanying persons.

Staying at the tournament venue offers maximum convenience, as all games and tournament activities take place within the hotel.

The Climate Resilience Fee is not included in the above room rates and is payable separately directly to the hotel. The applicable amount (4€) will be confirmed at the time of booking.

TRIPLE ROOM INFORMATION

The triple room is a double room with the addition of an extra bed.

HOW TO BOOK

Room reservations must be made directly with Holiday Inn Thessaloniki and are confirmed subject to availability.

To receive the special tournament rates, guests must mention the booking code VARDARIS and state that they will be participating in the Vardaris International Chess Tournament.

A deposit equal to 35% of the total reservation amount is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is paid directly to the hotel in accordance with its payment terms.

The hotel’s Reservations Department will send a booking confirmation to each guest by email.

Titled players may be eligible for special accommodation conditions, subject to rating, title, availability and prior approval by the tournament organisers.

Players wishing to apply must contact the organisers before making a hotel reservation. Special conditions are not granted automatically and must be confirmed in writing.

A limited number of rooms is available under these special conditions. All requests are subject to availability and prior written confirmation by the tournament organisers. Players are advised to apply as early as possible.

ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation arrangements are entirely optional. Participants are free to stay at any hotel, apartment or other accommodation of their choice. Staying at the official tournament hotel is not required in order to participate in the Vardaris International Chess Tournament.

SHORT-STAY APARTMENTS

Through a local accommodation partner, a limited number of furnished rooms and apartments may be available during the tournament period.

Available options may differ in location, room type, capacity, facilities and price. As availability changes regularly, specific properties and rates are provided upon request.

The tournament organisers can inform interested participants about the options currently available and put them in contact with the accommodation provider.

Reservations, payments and accommodation arrangements are completed directly with the accommodation provider. Availability is confirmed only after direct communication with the provider.
